For this past week, I attended lecture to try to get a better understanding of the Life assignment. I’m still getting my bearings while reviewing lectures to make sure I understand everything.

The only thing in my way is the Life project. I’ve started mapping out the basic structure and relationships of Life, Cell, and Abstract Cell so that it will be easier to code throughout the week.

For this past week, I worked with my partner to finish our Darwin project. We got to finish earlier than expected so I got to spend the week finishing up my other projects early as well.

Now that the fifth project has been announced, I guess you could say that Life is in my way. After reading through the specification, I’m probably going to need another read and a lecture to fully grasp what’s going on.

For most of the past week, I’ve been working on the Darwin project with my partner. We made a lot of progress in terms of setting up Darwin, Creature, and Species, as well as getting the I/O to work.

My partner and I are finishing up our project. For now, we just need to optimize our code to pass the last HackerRank test as well as writing unit/acceptance tests.

What did you do this past week?

For this past week, I focused primarily on my Algorithms test, which I unfortunately didn’t do so well on. I also got to visit my family again, which helped me get through a pretty sad time.

For now, the Darwin project is the only thing in my way. I plan to get in touch with my partner and get started on Monday. Hopefully, we make a lot of progress with what we’ve learned so far as well as with Monday’s lecture.

This past week, I finished up my Project 3 with my partner as well as catching up on my courses. Many of my assignments were due after Spring break, so I tried to balance out my break between working and relaxing.

For this past week, I worked on a few exams for my classes. I think I did pretty well on most of them. I also finished up the Voting project and now getting ready to head to the next project.

The next OOP project is coming up and I still need to find a partner. I spent most of the weekend getting ready to head back home but hopefully, home isn’t too much of a distraction when it comes to working on the next project.

What did you do this past week?

For the past week, I’ve been catching up my classes that I’ve missed due to the snow storm. Some projects and homework were thankfully pushed back so I spent most of my time doing them. Furthermore, I’m also just catching up on the amazing weather in Austin after a week of just freezing cold.

For now, I’m getting ready for a few of my exams that are coming up. I’m also currently working through the Voting Project, which should be coming up to a wrap sometime in the week.

For this week, I just attended lectures and worked on my homework. It’s been a fairly slow week, but I believe next week should keep me busy.

What did you do this past week?

For this past week, I’ve attended my first few lectures of class. In Object-Oriented Programming specifically, I was introduced to Downing’s programming tools, such as Valgrind, Coverage, and CPPChecker. This class’s introduction is mostly a recap for me because Downing went over the same tools in his Generic Programming class. However, I still needed to set up my laptop because I recently had to reset it.

I grew up in a small suburb called South Houston, Texas, which is confusingly southeast of Texas.

I came to UT after taking a tour of the campus in high school. The diversity, people, and atmosphere inspired me to apply. However, housing one of the best CS programs in the nation solidified my desire to attend UT.
