CS371p Spring 2021: Hogan Tran

What did you do this past week?

For this past week, I attended lecture to try to get a better understanding of the Life assignment. I’m still getting my bearings while reviewing lectures to make sure I understand everything.

What’s in your way?

The only thing in my way is the Life project. I’ve started mapping out the basic structure and relationships of Life, Cell, and Abstract Cell so that it will be easier to code throughout the week.

What will you do next week?

For next week, I plan to work on and finish the Life project. I will continue to attend lecture to get more hints and optimizations on the Life project as well.

What was your experience of Life and inheritance? (this question will vary, week to week)

I don’t have much experience with C++ inheritance, only Java. However, the idea of inheritance are still the same, just with the extra C++ rules and properties.

What made you happy this week?

Since most of my assignments are due in two weeks, I finally got to have some breathing room to catch up on other classes and overall relax. However, this week will definitely be a busy one.
